Chillin' at the Ranch!

Most of the time spent at the Ranch was lazy-dazy just chilling enjoy some much needed vacation time! Here are some pictures of us....just relaxin'!
Just the guys...can you be any more relaxed?
Here is Robert taking the girls for a ride!
Don't worry, Kierstin was really happy to be on the four wheeler, but she wanted to be in front with Audrey!
Here is Audrey and Kierstin playing in the dirt! These two had quite fun 'playing' together at the Ranch. Their 'playing' mostly consisted of Audrey lovin' on her cousin, which usually resulted with them rolling on the ground!
This is my newest niece, Kembrie, she had quite fun with Aunt Mel! She is such a sweetheart!! I don't think that I heard her cry the whole weekend!
Just one of Kiki's crazy faces!

Swimming at the Ranch!

We were able to enjoy the P Family Reunion this year at Jan'l & Jason's Ranch. This was the first time that we had been, but we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. There is a "lake" (as Teniah would call it, but it really is a pond)...
that everyone really enjoyed cooling off in...and I mean COOLING! It was freezing water, but it did feel good in the hot sun. I didn't think that it would be that hot, but it was about 90 degrees this day...so it felt great to cool off in the water. Robert was the uncle to show the boys how to do a cannonball into the pond. I even dared jump in...twice!
Hummm...
Kierstin did enjoy the water...but only a little bit! It was too cold for her, but she loved watching all the kids jumping into the water and riding on the paddle boat!
Just the girls!! (Me, Kierstin, Elise, Haleigh and Teniah!)

After Teniah saw me jump in, she was finally brave enough to jump in by her own will! This is the procession...note, I have three other pictures of her almost jumping in that are not included, because I thought them repetitive!
This is the "its FREEZING" face!

Happy Birthday Teniah!!

My little one turned six about a week ago. It is hard to believe that she is growing up so very quickly. We had a small party for her where she received the best present ever! I wrapped up a helmet and gave it to her. When she opened it, she was like "cool, a hat!" I asked her what she thought that she would wear it for. She was puzzled for a minute, but then said "on a bike?" I told her to go check in papa's car to see what was in there, and there it was ... her own bike! She has been loving riding it all over, every chance she can! The morning after her birthday, she woke up, already dressed I think, and asked first thing if she could go and ride her bike! (PS I have to get some more pictures from my mom, my batteries died after she opened the present! I couldn't find any batteries...what a horrible mom!)

Apples to apples

We have a couple of apple trees in our back yard and we noticed that the limbs were touching the ground. We went out to check them, and the branches are loaded with apples. We decided to pick a big bag full and lighten the load a bit. Even though the apples were a little tart, the girls loved that they were just their size!

4th of July

Here are a couple pictures from our 4th of July camping excursion! We went camping up at Yankee Meadow again, but our coveted spot was taken. So we camped basically around the corner, which was fun too.
We drove up around Brianhead and stopped in on their 4th Celebration. We also hiked around a little bit...which is where this picture was taken. This is what the girls did after our little hike. We were driving back to camp, and I turned around and saw this! Cute kids...mean mom, I didn't help Teniah out! Oopps! The night of the 4th we drove down to Parowan to see the fireworks there. We had a blast hanging out with family, eating good food and watching awesome fireworks!
Kierstin wasn't too sure about the whole fireworks. At first she was really quite afraid. Then she was amazed! Then she grew tired of them all together and just wanted to run around!

Hello world!

I feel like I haven't been blogging for a while, and ahhh, I haven't!! We have had a whirl wind of events take place lately, most good, but a few sad too. First off, Robert's Grandpa got an aneurysm in his leg and ended up having to have it amputated. We made a few trips to St. George while he was recovering and to keep his spirits up. We went camping again for the 4th of July, up at the same place. I'll give more details on that when I post my pictures from the trip. I have been busy around the house, trying to get my garden to grow and keeping up with the daily grind of things. We went to the July Jamboree...had so much fun drooling over the cars! Sweet '69 Mustang of my dreams! And, I lost my camera! I had looked every where in the house, coming up empty handed, because I didn't have my camera. So that is the MAIN reason that I haven't been blogging, I can't find my camera!!

P.S. Since I first wrote this ( I forgot to post it!), I have since found my camera, safely in the car, but I found it!!! So pictures are coming soon!!!!

Camping for Father's Day

We went camping this last weekend for Father's Day. We had planned on going to Yankee Meadow, thinking that it wouldn't be very busy, but we were wrong. There were only a couple of camping sites open, and they of course, were the worst ones. Discouraged we headed back home, and on a last ditch effort made a turn on the road. We found this....

We had the whole lake to ourselves. (Well, as you can see, there is another person in the shot, it isn't Robert, but some random guy who thought he'd come fishing in a lake with no fish!) It was awesome!! We had so much fun. We had a fire, made s'mores, roasted hot dogs, went on a hike,
and Teniah learned to pee in the wild. We had such a blast!!

Here is the girls on the hike. They had a blast! Of course Kierstin got carried the whole way, but we all had a good time! When Robert was holding Kierstin, this was all that she wanted to do, drink from his camel back!
