Enjoying birthday presents!

Here are a few pictures of little Kierstin enjoying her birthday presents. The baby gate was a present from mommy and daddy...aren't we so thoughtful! :) The high chair was from Grandma and Grandpa...mommy and daddy are very thankful for that one!!

10 Inches of snow!

We had a snow day on Monday the 26th. From 8 in the morning until about 4 that afternoon it snowed. The snow at first was big wonderful flakes...falling down from the sky...but then they turned into small flakes. Here is a few pictures...it was a pretty good storm. We tried to make a snowman, but it just wouldn't work! The snow was too dry and flaky! Robert and Teniah decided to taste it instead! Oh well...next time...if there is a next time!

Happy Birthday Kierstin!!

I can't quite believe that my little girl is one year old! Where has that time gone! It seems like it was only yesterday that we were at the hospital. It hasn't been that long since she was smiling, crawling, talking...is she really one? We had a small little party for her, with a few friends and family. We had a blast. She didn't really want to open the presents, just wanted to play with them once they were open. :0) We let her have at it with a piece of cake...oh my...she LOVED it! She had two pieces! You probley can't really tell, she was a fairly clean eater!

Merry Christmas!

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. First off, it was really great to have all of my decorations. It is amazing how happy I felt to have them around. I love to have my house all decorated and such during Christmas...because it is my sanctuary. My retreat from all the hustle and bustle of the world, and I can just have peace and relaxation. Christmas morning was fun. The girls were so excited about everything that was going on. It was great to see their faces. Kierstin was a little oblivious, but still cute! Teniah was thrilled with the hat from Grandma and Grandpa. We were able to talk to my brother...who had just flown into Indonesia the day before. It was so great to hear from him...that helped to make it a great Christmas.

"Santa Takes a Nap"

Teniah's Kindergarten class put on a little play for the parents right before school let out for the break. She was so excited to be a sugar plum fairy.

She kept telling me all the dance moves that she had to learn. It was such a cute little play. Basically each kid had their moment in the spotlight, and did a little dance. They all sang a couple of songs and then it was over. Santa was there, and let all the little kids sit on his lap. I took that opportunity to get a picture of the girls with Santa.
So cute!!

Ummm....

I'm sure that you were all wondering why I haven't posted much this past month. You all know...or least I think you do...that I work 'with UPS'. That should be enough said, but I'll go into just a little more detail so that you can fully understand why my holiday season doesn't officially start until December 23rd.
The rush basically starts after Thanksgiving, but the worst week is the week before Christmas. That week we send out around 200 packages per day (except for Monday which is about 500), help over 200 customers, and work about 10 hours per day (least I did). So needless to say by the time that I got home at night, I was very tired and worn out. And not that blogging takes that much effort, I just wanted to veg! It is stressful and draining. Plus everything that needs to get done aka housework, shopping etc., just never seems to get done on time! Robert is good to help out with the housework, but I think that he does it mostly because he doesn't like the mess! :0) I was able to venture to Walmart to do ALL of my Christmas shopping. I went early in the morning, less people. I spent about an hour getting groceries and gifts, then about another 30 checking out...I thought that was pretty good, considering that I hadn't been grocery shopping in about two/three weeks...and hadn't gotten ANY Christmas yet. hehe...there it's out, I am a Christmas shopping slacker!
But the rush is over now, the family has come and gone(and boy did we have fun!) and Teniah is back in school. So I figured it was about time to start updating the blog. :0)
So little by little....here is the holidays!
